Real Salt Lake Returning to Gordon Jago Super Group at 2026 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola

DALLAS, Texas (Monday, Feb. 9) – Dallas Cup, the oldest and most prestigious international youth soccer tournament in North America, announced today that Real Salt Lake will participate in the Gordon Jago Super Group at the 2026 edition of the competition. The 2026 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola will take place March 29 through April 5.

The Utah-based MLS academy returns to the tournament’s elite bracket for the sixth time in club history. Real Salt Lake previously competed in the Super Group in 2011, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019, consistently testing itself against some of the strongest international competition in youth soccer. With the strength of its academy pipeline continuing to rise in recent seasons, the club arrives in Dallas aiming to translate domestic success onto the global stage and contend for the Super Group “Boot & Ball” trophy.

Competing in MLS NEXT’s Allstate Homegrown Division, the highest level of academy competition in the United States, Real Salt Lake currently sits third in the U19 West standings. The Homegrown Division serves as the primary pathway to the professional ranks, and RSL has long been recognized as a league leader in developing homegrown talent, producing one of the highest totals of academy signings in Major League Soccer history.

The club enters the tournament on the heels of a historic 2024–25 campaign that saw Real Salt Lake become the first academy to win both the Generation adidas Cup and MLS NEXT Cup in the same season, further solidifying its reputation as one of the continent’s premier development programs.

Real Salt Lake will look to become just the second MLS academy to capture the Gordon Jago Super Group title, following FC Dallas’ landmark championship run in 2017. They join a Gordon Jago Super Group lineup that already includes Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Botafogo, São Paulo FC, and Philadelphia Union. A total of 12 elite teams from top professional clubs and national federations worldwide will compete for the iconic championship trophy.

The 2026 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola builds upon a record-breaking 2025 tournament, which for the first time featured expanded Boys’ and Girls’ divisions (U10–U19). Additional team announcements will continue in the lead-up to the tournament as the field takes shape for another unforgettable edition of the competition.
