Brazil’s São Paulo FC Returns for Gordon Jago Super Group at the 2026 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola

DALLAS, Texas (Monday, Dec. 22) – Dallas Cup, the oldest and most prestigious international youth soccer tournament in North America, is proud to announce the return of Brazilian side São Paulo FC for the Gordon Jago Super Group at the 2026 Dallas Cup presented by Coca‑Cola. São Paulo enters the 2026 edition following three consecutive Gordon Jago Super Group finals appearances, continuing one of the most successful Super Group runs by any club in recent history.

The Brazilian giants were crowned Super Group champions in 2024 after defeating local host club FC Dallas in the final, before returning to the championship match again in 2025, where they finished as runners-up to fellow Brazilian side Botafogo. Their recent string of success began in 2023, when São Paulo reached the final and narrowly fell 1-0 to Denmark’s FC Midtjylland.

One of the most competitive and storied participants in Dallas Cup history, São Paulo FC has lifted the Gordon Jago Super Group “Boot & Ball” trophy four times (1995, 2007, 2009, 2024). Alongside Mexico’s Tigres UANL, São Paulo stands as one of only two clubs in tournament history to claim four Super Group titles.

São Paulo FC is widely recognized for its elite academy system, which has produced world-class players such as Cafu, Kaká, and Oscar. Former academy products Edmílson and Lucas Moura also played key roles in the club’s Super Group titles in 1995 and 2009, respectively, reinforcing the tournament’s longstanding connection to future global stars.

The Brazilian side joins a growing 2026 Gordon Jago Super Group field, which already includes defending champions Botafogo, Premier League side Aston Villa, and MLS academy representative Philadelphia Union. A total of 12 elite teams from top professional clubs and national federations worldwide will compete for the iconic championship trophy.

The 2026 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola will be played March 29 through April 5, building upon a record-breaking 2025 tournament, which for the first time featured expanded Boys’ and Girls’ divisions (U10–U19).

Selection for the 2026 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola is underway. Teams looking to join the action can still apply at DallasCup.org while the selection committee reviews applications. Fans and teams can learn more about the tournament by visiting www.DallasCup.org or following @dallascup on social media.

It is awesome to see São Paulo FC coming back to the Dallas Cup this year. Their academy is legendary for producing world-class talent, and the Super Group matches are always the highlight of the tournament for anyone who actually follows youth development. I remember watching a match a few years back where the technical skill was just off the charts, almost like watching a perfectly synchronized plinko game where every bounce and pass seemed calculated but still kept you guessing. If you're in the North Texas area in April, you definitely shouldn't miss the chance to see these guys play before they all head off to big European clubs.
